Not only lost on my own, but intentionally deceived by a crafty nemesis, I was far from God. For those who have never experienced the darkness of depression, it is no child’s game. There was not a moment that passed where the agony of breathing didn’t nearly crush me.
And in that, God saw me. He took both my intentional sins and the sins that have strangled me simply for setting foot on this earth and saw what I was worthy of–death. Yet God, in a richness of grace I may truly only comprehend at heaven’s gates, decided that he would instead gift me with life.
Now dead to agony and sin, a life resurrected, abundant, in Him.
He redeemed your life from the pit and crowned you with love and compassion. Psalm 103:4
